Abstract
Virtual machine (VM) live migration occurs frequently in cloud environments.
When it is necessary to migrate many VMs, minimizing the migration time
is an important concern. Thus, choosing an appropriate strategy to perform
VM migration is essential. Accordingly, this paper discusses the advantages
and disadvantages of four different migration methods and evaluates their
respective migration times and throughputs.
